STO Presents Theoretical and Practical Workshop of Rock Physics Using Software.
the course is four days (6 h per day), the course will beginning at the first Friday on January (3/1/2020)
Theoretical and Practical workshop of Rock Physics using the software presents by
(mohamed shihata )
Rock Physics is a key component in oil and gas exploration, development, and production. It combines concepts and principles from geology, geophysics, Petrophysics, applied mathematics, and other disciplines.
This course design in real practical case studies, where trainees will learn how to build rock-physics using software and how integration Petrophysics cross plot with elastic parameter to integrate seismic data with Petrophysics data to generate bet Rock solid model
The relationships between laboratory, theory, well-logs, and seismic data are investigated. A set of spreadsheets that incorporate many of the models, predicting fluid properties, rock properties, and seismic response (including AVO and elastic impedance) is provided; exercises will be completed in class using simple calculations as well as these spreadsheets.
At the conclusion of the course, students should be able to understand the application of rock physics models and theory, to combine those with well-log information in a petrophysical evaluation, and to employ the results in modeling and interpretation of seismic data.
